Summary

Adobe Max has always been a big deal for video editors. The annual conference is where Adobe announces updates to its Creative Suite of programs, which include Premiere Pro, After Effects, and the Creative Cloud.

Adobe Max is usually held in October, and this year’s event will take place from October 18-20. Last year's Adobe Max was no different, with a slew of new features announced for Premiere Pro, After Effects, and the Creative Cloud.

What’s New in Premiere Pro?

Adobe announced several new features coming to Premiere Pro, including Auto Reframe, which will automatically reframe your video for different aspect ratios, and Motion Graphics Templates, which will allow you to create and share animated graphics templates.

This year, Adobe is releasing an update to Premiere Pro that includes new features like auto-ducking, which will automatically adjust the audio levels of your background music to ensure it doesn’t interfere with your dialogue.

There’s also a new audio cleanup tool that can remove unwanted background noise, and a new text tool that makes it easy to create animated titles and lower thirds. Other updates include:

Essential Graphics

The biggest update to Premiere Pro is the addition of a new "Essential Graphics" panel, which makes it easier to create and edit titles, graphics, and other visual elements. The panel includes several new templates and tools for creating text, shapes, and graphics. It also includes a new "Essential Sound" panel for audio editing.

Speech-to-Text

Premiere Pro will also get a new Speech to Text feature, transcribing your audio into text. This will be a handy tool for video editors who often have to deal with audio that is difficult to understand.

Simplifying Sequence Clips

Another new feature of Premiere Pro is the ability to simplify sequence clips. This will allow you to quickly and easily remove unwanted elements from your videos, such as background noise or unwanted people.

Updates to After Effects

Adobe is also releasing several updates to After Effects, including a new feature that will allow you to create animated titles and lower thirds. Adobe is also introducing a new Content-Aware Fill tool, making removing objects from your video easier. Other updates include:

Object Removing

The new Object Removing tool will allow you to quickly and easily remove unwanted objects from your video. This will be a handy tool for video editors who often deal with videos containing unwanted objects.

Better Performance

Adobe is also making several performance improvements to After Effects, making it faster and smoother to use.

3D Animation

After Effects will be getting a new 3D Camera Tracker, which will allow you to track the movement of your camera and create realistic 3D effects.

Updates to the Creative Cloud

Adobe is also releasing several updates to the Creative Cloud, which include new features for Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

Creative Cloud is a subscription service from Adobe that gives you access to all the company’s creative apps, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
